GARDEN REPORT

2026 SEASON

As the gentle freshness of spring melts into the rich warmth of early summer, the garden is buzzing with anticipation. This season brings a new rhythm and a deeply personal milestone that is shaping the very landscape of our plot. To manage space and time, I stepped off the seed-starting treadmill this year and opted for healthy nursery starts.

The kitchen garden is now eagerly receiving jalapeños, tomatoes, garlic, onions, radishes, and, keeping last year's promise, a massive amount of kale. We are also sharing the space with nature, keeping a watchful eye on a resilient young rabbit that emerged from a nest tucked away in the clematis bed. But the most exciting shift for 2026 is yet to come. The remaining garden beds are being dedicated entirely to cultivating homegrown flowers for our upcoming wedding in September, setting the stage for what will undoubtedly be our most meaningful growing season yet.
